Mary Ann Dabinett - (Barrington - Somerset)
Interested in specific birth year of Mary Ann, who married my mother's uncle Angus McColl in NZ in 1873. Was her father Job, James or John Dabinett? From 1900 on she cared for my mother, after the death of my grandfather Henry McColl.

William BARRETT b.1818 Barrington, Somerset married Susan BRIDGE 10 Mar 1840 - (Barrington - Somerset)
Wondering if there are any others researching the above BARRETTs. William was a labourer living in Nyden, Barrington, Somerset, when he and Susan BRIDGE married in 1840. Witnesses at their 1840 wedding in Barrington were my ancestors William MORRIS and Mary BARRETT (who would later marry William and become Mary MORRIS, my ancestor). I think there is a good chance that that William was brother to Mary, their father John BARRETT being my fifth great grandfather. William and Mary MORRIS's came to Australia in the 1850's where their daughter, Anna MORRIS, married another MORRIS from Barrington, James MORRIS (son of James b.1827 in Nyden, and Emma nee DABINETT). James Snr was son of Stephen Morris and Hannah nee BARRETT. Luckily, research has proven this was not quite as incestuous as it sounds - must have been lots of BARRETT, MORRIS and DABINETT families in Barrington, as I still haven't been able to link them despite going back several generations. Good news, so far! Regards, Michele (from Australia)
Family Surnames: Barrett Bridge Dabinett Morris

Simon Pain b.@1800 - (Barton - Somerset)
My grt.grt grandfather was Simon Arthur Hunt Pain b. @1824. His father Simon Pain B.@ 1800 & wife & some of his children are listed in census's for Bristol & Clifton as having been born Barton, Somerset. Anyone Got Love ? - (Barwick - Somerset)
I'm looking for the marriage, maiden name, parents, etc., of a woman named Love who apparently married Thomas Part about 1792, judging by the ages of her children. Known facts: She died in Stoford,Barwick,at age 72.March 1842 son Job reported her death of "old age" three days earlier; listed himself as "occupier of house." The death certificate says she was "of Barwick," but the Parish register does not show her marriage or christening. She was buried in Barwick on 27 March 1842. Her husband, however, was baptized 25 Dec.1762 in Barwick. His parents were John Pert and Sarah Mudford, and they were married 7 Feb 1753 in Barwick. 1841 Census, living at age 70 with son-in-law John Higgins Her married name was variously spelled in different records as Part, Pert, Piart, Peart, Perrot. Her children's names and baptismal dates, places: Dinah, end of 1793, Barwick Elizabeth, 14 Aug. 1796, Barwick William, 14 Dec. 1799, Barwick Joannah, 6 Dec. 1801, Barwick Elizabeth,16 Sept. 1804, Barwick Thomas, 2 Aug. 1807, Barwick Job, 13 May 1810, Barwick Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hiscock/Compton/Hooper - (Barwick - Somerset)
Trying to track back further on Charles HISCOCK, b abt 1769 in or near Barwick. He married twice, first to Mary BUDGEL in 1808, she died 1812 and they had one daughter Harriet in 1809. His second wife was Mary COMPTON, b 22 Jun 1794 around Barwick. She had a twn sister Martha. Her parents were Thomas and Sarah COMPTON - I do have a marriage in East Coker in 1776 for a Thomas COMPTON and Sarah HOOPER. I am assuming these are Mary's parents. Mary and Charles seem to have had 4 children (Henry, Edwin/Edmund, Charlotte and James) 3 of whom emigrated to Australia in the 1850's (the men). They seem to have moved between Somerset and Dorset during their life as Edwin is shown as baptised in Lytchett Minster, Dorset. Edwin married Elizabeth TERRY of Poole. Charles died in Stoford in 1846. Any help verifying actual dates or going further back would be appreciated. Thanks. Lis

My Great Grandfather Charles Kempson Ebsworth of Gloucester, married Mary Ann Lambert of Batcombe Somerset in 1851, in the Registrary Office in Axbridge Somerset. Mary Ann lists her father as Joshua Lambert a Labourer on their marriage certificate. But I've had no luck tracing Joshua Lambert of Somerset. All I have found is a William Lambert, who had a daughter called mary Ann and the right year of her birth. I would love validation that this was indeed the same family as in my family tree. Mary Ann and Charles travelled to Liverpool straight after their marriage, where my family come from. I've been researching all my family tree for 18 months, but have got really stuck with the Lamberts. If anyone has any information, could you please contact me.
