Brook/Brooks/Brooke/Brookes - Margate 1880's
Looking for any info on The Neptune Halls in Duke Street, Margate Kent. A pub/inn run by my great great grandparents, Francis and Sarah Brook. (there are many variations on different census entries - see title)
They are listed in the 1841 and 51 census sheets living at 3 Duke st. Margate. (which i believe is the Neptune Halls)

cannot find this family in 1861 census, but in 1871 census, they had moved to 51, Hallsville Rd, West Ham in Essex and Francis is shown with a new occupation as a marine store dealer. I would love to know more about the Neptune Halls in Duke Street, Margate, and about the Marine store. Cannot find any info on either of these businesses.

I am also having problems finding Francis' birth, in 1841 he was listed as aged 30. Francis was a widower at the time of his marriage to Sarah (nee Clayson???) his first wife was apparently Harriet Kelsey, married Oct 13 1832 in Margate. 2 kids from marriage, Mary Jane b. abt 1832 and Jane Mary b. abt 1834. Harriet died in Sept 1837 vol 5 232

Any new info or family connections would be fantastic
