I am looking for information about William BAKER (b. in Barsby c. 1795), his wife Sarah (b. c. 1787), their daughter Ann (b. in Thorpe Satchville c. 1810) and her husband Edward SMITH (b. in Barsby c. 1811). Ann and Edward had at least 11 children including Matilda (the eldest, b. in Barsby c. 1836) who married John GLOVER (b. c. 1827) of South Croxton (the third eldest of the 10 children, for whom I have records, of Benjamin GLOVER and Frances ORTON, both b. c. 1800) in Ashby Folville in 1854. John and Matilda had at least 11 children. They lived in Barsby until about 1868, then moved to Leicester. Edward SMITH, Benjamin and John GLOVER all worked in the weaving industry. I have census records (1841 - 1901) for all these families, as well as John and Matilda's marriage certificate if anyone would like this information.

I am descended from Ann and Edward Smith of Barsby and would be delighted to have the details of this family.
