red mail Searching for information on Redmond Geary and Mary Moore
Redmond Geary of Aghada and Mary Moore (location not noted but likely Aghada) were married in 1811. Their son, James Michael Geary (born abt 1820) emigrated to Ottawa, Canada where he married Mary Neville in 1858. I have located a 1808 headstone for a Redmond Geary in the Corkbeg cemetery in Whitehall near Aghada. I assume this Redmond is the father or grandfather of "my" Redmond. The genealogist at the Cobh Heritage Center told me the Geary family were shipbuilders and some remain in the area. I would appreciate any information others may have to help me with my genealogy research.

I have marriages for some of them but nothing later than 1866, although my grandparents visited in 1936 and found the family.
