red mail Isabella Rose RYAN, also WALKER, HOLBRY in COUNTY KERRY
Searching for Irish connections to my family Joseph Blake HOLBRY was a coastguard who in 1879 married Isabella Rose RYAN in Ventry parish. Family tale says that she was the 7th. child of a 7th. child, unproven at this time for her only two known siblings are Mary and Louisa Margaret. Isabella's father was James RYAN who trained horses and sponsored migration to the USA for some local lads. Isabella's mother's family name is believed to be WALKER. The HOLBRY family were in Co. Mayo in 1901 and Lostwithiel, Cornwall in 1911. Isabella Rose RYAN and Joseph Blake HOLBRY had 6 children, Elizabeth Frances, William Charles, James Richard, Mary Ann, Ada Blanche Ryan & Joseph Blake. All were born in Ireland except possibly the youngest (Joseph Blake) who, according to US Immigration was born in Liskeard, Cornwall, but the 1911 census shows Balleyshannon, Donegal, Ireland. Would be grateful to receive any information on the above names.
