red mail Organ-Kirby
My great-grandmother, Honora Kirby, was baptized in Kilshanny in May 1868 and her parents, John Kirby and Bridget Organ, were married there in Feb 1865. However, she always gave Ennistymon as her home. She and two of her sisters, Delia and Annie, emigrated to the U.S.(Boston area) between 1885-1895. A brother, Austin, came over in 1899 and lived in New Hampshire with their uncle, John Dorgan (the name he used)who had emigrated in the 1850's as a young man. One sister,Kate, stayed in Ireland, marrying Patrick Logan, a butcher, of Liscannor. They had 12 children who may have stayed in Clare. Kate Kirby Logan died in early 1946. If anyone reads this who knows Organs, Kirbys or Logans in the Ennistymon or Liscannor area, would you please contact me? We want very much to find our cousins and learn more about our family. Thank you.
