red mail murphy galway
My great grandmother was born Margaret Murphy about 1836 in Galway. In 1862 she sailed on the Lady Milton to Australia. Initially she settled in Singleton NSW but then moved further north to Tamworth. In 1865 in Tamworth she married George Smith. George was born about 1819 in England . Shortly after they were married they took up a selection of land on the Wallabadah Property just south of Tamworth. Here they raised their family.Any information about the Murphy family in Galway would be appreciated.

I'm looking for information on my gfather and his unknown family. I believe he came from Lisheenavalla, Galway, and came to america in 1906 (on us census records) around 21 years of age. I am trying to find his Irish ancestory mostly, Possible father John (1901 census). Brothers: Michael, Thomas and Hubert; and a sister Norah. Perhaps older sister and brothers not shown in census? It seems Martin came to usa with a neighbor named Patrick Fahy who went to Aspen Colorado. Martin Conway came to California (as per the ships documents) to Red Bluff, California, to visit his Aunt, Mrs. Phillip R Kestner (Julia Conway Kestner) which I can find no record existing. Martin Conway settled in San Francisco, CA. Can anyone help me?
