Ellen Maguire, born McManus
Trying to establish the veracity (or otherwise!) of a possible marriage for Ellen McManus, born in Glasgow in 1893 but raised on Manor Water House farm in Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh from April 1904. I believe she may have married John Maguire in 1912 and had 3 children (possibly more) called Elizabeth (b 18 Jul. 1913), Mary (or Mary Catherine) b 20 Aug 1914 and Patrick, b 21 Mar 1917. If anyone can shed any light on this subject, I would be delighted to hear from them. Many thanks in advance for your help.

McManus Sisters 1904
Trying to find the whereabouts of my grandmother, Maggie McManus from April 1904 until Jun 1916. She and her sister (Ellen, known as Nellie) and brother (Francis, known as Frank) were brought to a farm in Lisnaskea to live with their Uncle, John Reilly and his family (wife Elizabeth, sons Maurice and John) after the deaths of their parents in Glasgow in 1900 & 1904. Maggie (aged 13) was put into service that year, Frank ran away from home at some point and eventually emigrated to Canada (around 1930), and Ellen stayed with the Reilly family. I believe Ellen married but have no married name for her so cannot trace her or her children. Maggie married Thomas Gillen (from Maguiresbridge) in Belfast in June 1916 and, a year later, moved back to Glasgow where she remained for the rest of her life, raising a family of seven children. As she was in service from 1904, I have been unable to trace her until her marriage in 1916 and would love to be able to fill that gap in her life story. Cannot find her on the Irish or UK census in 1911 and would be grateful if anyone can help. Also, if anyone knows of Ellen's family or her married name, I would be delighted to hear from them, too! Many thanks in advance, Ann

red mail Martin/Ebbett/Ebbitt
I am tracing the above family names. Margaret Mary Ebbett (may have been born Martin), was born 11/08/1921 and was christened in Cootehill. I believe her parents were James Ebbett and Maggie Martin I believe she had an illegitimate child and went to live with the Ebbett family, although her birth certificate does list her as being born Ebbett/Ebbitt. In the late 1930's, early 1940's she married Henry Martin, a former postman in Belfast who came to Ireland from Hurstpierpoint in Sussex. I would love to hear from anyone who can let me have more information about this part of the family. thanks Michelle
