red mail SHERLOCK
JOHN & MARIA (nee O'ROURKE) SHERLOCK & their family left Dorrha/Lorrha & Ireland in 1852. John had been farming & relatives lived in the district approx. 50 years later. They were a Catholic family so where would John & Maria have married & their children have been baptised ?
red mail Piper
There was a Charles Piper living in Lorrha in the early to mid 1800's with a son John and daughter. Neither child had children from what I can find. Another child married into an Ardell family who at one point stayed with them along with a nephew with the last name of Moore. I suspect Charles may have been my ggg grandfather.
