Seeking information on the Loughran family. John Loughran was born in Maynooth c. 1823, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1838. He eventually became president of Manufacturers Bank of Brooklyn, which merged with other banks to become Manufacturers Hanover. He had at least two brothers, Henry and James, who also emigrated to the U.S. Henry was a miller, James was a grocer who, later in life, may have owned a hotel. All three brothers resided in Brooklyn, NY, USA.

Looking for connections to Fitzgeralds who originated in Abbeyleix. My great grandfather, Stephen Fitzgerald, married Mary Brennan and had 3 children, Michael, Mary and Stephen (my g-father). Looking for info on my grandfather's family. Michael was born in 1875 to Matthew and Anne Maguire, Crewhill, Maynooth. He joined the RIC in 1895, but resigned in 1903 to go to S Africa. In around 1807 he married my g'mother Harriet Warren in Cape Town. Has anyone info on Michael's parents or siblings?
