My gr gr gr Grandfather was Dr Thomas Calton who headed the party of settlers sailing on the 'Albury' and dying at Algoa Bay, in 1820. Can someone please tell me, was he actually born in North Collingham or was he just a practising surgeon there? I need also to know who were his parents and where were they born? Any info would be greatfully appreciated Thank you jen

George Tasker moved to Collingham about 1800 and married Maria Lansdall. He farmed in the area and the family remained there for about 100 years. If anybody is investigating these two families I would be pleased to hear from them
