Boe/Boa/Bo/Bow and Bouy/Bowie/Buie families of Crawfordjohn
My 4th great-grandmother Elizabeth Boe was born in Crawfordjohn 11 Dec 1743 to James Boe and Marion Bouy (who had married in 1735). Her known siblings were Jean (1736), John (1740, died in infancy) and a second John (1746). Elizabeth Boe married James Murdoch 22 Feb 1764 in her home parish of Crawfordjohn, then moved to Muirkirk, Ayrshire, where James Murdoch was a blacksmith, and where their children were born. Elizabeth Boe's grandparents may have been John Boe and Jean Paton. I would be interested to contact, and share information with, anyone who is researching these Crawfordjohn families.
