Researching the Haskell family from Donhead St Andrew, Wiltshire, UK. Christian Haskell born c.1740 is my earliest female ancestor. Christian married Thomas Wilkins who it's believed came from Salisbury, although not certain. Christian's mother was Susannah Hunter born c.1715, not known where she came from. Anyone else researching these famiies ?

red mail Amelia Pinnock
Would appreciate any information about Amelia Pinnock, (nee Brockway) born about 1781, who lived with her sons Joseph, John, and James in Milkwell, Donhead St Andrew, at the time of the 1841 Census. She died in 1847 in Donhead St Andrew. I do not know where she was born or who her parents were, but I would really like to know. Her first appearance on the Census Register for 1841 shows that she was head of the family - most likely widowed. Her second appearance in the same Census shows that she was a washerwoman at a farmhouse in Church Hill, Donhead St Mary. Any and all information will be most gratefully received.

The Gurd family can trace it's roots with certainty back to about 1530 in Donhead St Mary and St Andrew. There are many other connected families. I welcome contact from other Gurd researchers.

red mail Goodenow, Goodnow, Goodnowe, Goodinow, Goodenough family
I am looking for any information on Edmund Goodenow, his brothers Ralph, Simon, Nathaniel, Thomas and John all sons of Thomas Goodenow originally of Ebbesburn Wake, born at the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th Century, also sisters Ursula (Ussilah) and Dorothy and mother Ursula (Ussilah) maiden name Hayne, Haynes of Fayme. The surname is spelled in a wide variety of ways, and the grandfather John came from Ebbesborne Wake. Several of the sons (Edmund, Thomas and John at least) and both sisters emigrated in the late 1630s to New England. They were mostly husbandmen, and the wills available suggest they were relatively well off. What I'd love to know is whether they were copyholders/leaseholders and of what farms, but any other information is also welcome.
