I am interested in information on ancestors or descendants of Thomas Priddey born 1805, who married Sarah Leek in 1828 at Hampton Lovett. He was a labourer in the salt works. My Gtx2 grandfather Samuel, Thomas and Sarah's son, was a boatman. He married Ellen Eliza Smith in 1866 at St Andrews. Their daughter Elizabeth, my grandmother, went to Birmingham where in 1881 was living with her aunt Elizabeth Davis (nee Priddey).

Transactions of the Provincial Medical and Surgical Association Volume XII 1844 Advert for :- Droitwich Lunatic Asylum. Established in 1791. This Asylum is now under the management of the present Proprietors Martin Ricketts, Esq. Surgeon of Droitwich, and Charles Hastings M.D. Physician to the Worcester Infirmary. Dr Hastings visits the Asylum twice a week. The non-restraint system, with its important precautionary measures, is adopted at this Asylum. Religious observances are not neglected. Amusements and exercise, appropriate to the condition of the Patients, both in and out of doors, are carefully attended to, being found of greatimportance in the moral management of the Insane. Any information respecting the admission of Patients may be obtained on application to the Proprietors, or to Mr Clement Edkins, Member of the College of Surgeons, and MedicalSuperintendent at the Asylum.

I am interested to find out information about any Crowthers in the Droitwich/Worcestershire area. My grandfather (Albert George Crowther 1918-1984) was married to Phyllis Anne (1922 - 1974) and they had a son (David Crowther 1953 - 1996). I know there are links to family in the Norwich area. I also remember meeting a Great Aunt Lizzie and a Great Aunt Nell. My grandfather played for Droitwich Spa football club. Thanks

I am looking for any information on Edna Russell Thompson who married Rev. Thomas Powell (my Grandfather) in Jamaica where she had been a head-teacher of a girls school. They returned to England in 1948 and lived in Droitwich where she died in 1956 aged 54. They were involved in the local Baptist church. Any information would be useful.

Researching Mary Ann HUGHES who married Herbert John TURNER in Droitwich in 1878; marriage cert. states her father as Thomas HUGHES, a SHOPKEEPER. All censuses have MAH's birthplace as Droitwich and birth year 1855-1858, but Worcester Record Office has no entry registered for her birth. Can anyone assist, please, in tracing MAH's details?
