Thomas EVANS in Maesmynis Maesmynis, Maesmynys
Interested in Thomas EVANS and Margaret BOWEN who married at Llanfihangel Bryn Pabuan in 1826 and then lived around Maesmynis. His son, also Thomas, was born at Cwmbwch Isaf in 1826 though not found that yet on the maps - can see Cwmbach Fawr and Cwmbwch Fach on modern maps. They also lived at Tebath, Shap Agave and Glanwhydttong (spellings could be wrong).

red mail Searching for Jessie Davies, born 1880 in Builth. Builth Wells, Llanfair-ym-muallt
Jessie had two sisters Ruby and Lily and brother David who was killed in WW1. Jessie went on to become a teacher and I think was involved with Redcoat schools. Later the family moved to London. Granma Jessie lived to 100 and was always so proud of her Welsh roots and we would like our children to know more about her family.

red mail James Bevan - Llanfechan and Llanafanfawr Llanfechan
James BEVAN said to be of Llanfechan, married, at Llanafanfawr Church on 7th February 1729 (1730), Eleanor PUGH (of Llanafan). His burial in April 1781 was at Llanafan Church, from Hendy. His children were baptised at Llanafanfawr; but the eldest, Charles, followed by his son Charles, appear to have inherited Hendy. The younger Charles (1760-1843) was buried, as was his wife Joan, at Llanfechan Church, as the headstones attest. It looks as if the family perhaps even before James, had associations with Llanfechan. James BEVAN is my 5 X Gt grandfather, and I should like to explore the family's asociation with this parish.
red mail Rees Jones Maesmynis, Maesmynys
I am researching my great grandfather, Rees Jones, born in Maesmynis in 1845. His father, also Rees, a tailor, born 1810, was also born in Maesmynis as was his mother Elizabeth, and brothers David, John, Thomas, and sisters Margaret, Mary and Emily. Rees worked as an agricultural servant at a house called Fenenant in 1851 when he was 15. His family lived at Glandwen?? I would love to hear from anyone who has any information about my ancestors.
