red mail Davies, Llanrhaiadr
I am hopelessly stuck on finding which JOHN DAVIES of Llanrhaiadr, either Denbighshire or Montgomeryshire is my great great grandfather. His daughter Jane, born 1862 married my Great grandfather THOMAS GRIFFITHS, Born Llansantffraid 1866, They were married on 20June 1888 at Llanfyllin. I have their marriage certificate which shows John Davies as a Fowl dealer.. I have spent the last year narrowing my possible John Davies' families down to 2 contenders, which only show on the census records as Farmers or Farm labourers..My main contender John was born in Llanrhaiadr 1836, and married to Mary born Nantglyn 1836. They lived in Hen efail, Tanyrallt, Denbighshire. They had the following children, Thomas,1857, John,1859, JANE, 1862,Seth,1865,Isaac,1868,Elias,1871,Anne,1874, Robert 1878. Is anyone else researching this family..

red mail William and Margaret Jones Green-Ucha
In 1848 Margaret married farmer William JONES of Penypark. Moved to Green Ucha Llanrhaeadr by 1871. Children, in 1871 John is 20 a shoemaker and younger brother Allen is 15 and a Tailor. Margaret died 1886, William died 1889, both buried in Llanrhaeadr. Possible parents of William are Richard and Anne Jones though William's father left 'father' blank on marriage certificate and only entered his name as a 'Witness'... Know of Margaret before marriage but interested in learing about William, Margaret and their children.
