red mail John & Janet SCOTT of Mansfield Woodhouse
Interested in tracing descendants of John and Janet Sinton SCOTT of Mansfield Woodhouse. Both were born Scotland, as were the two eldest children that I know of, John (1880 Edinburgh) and Rachel Haldane (1882), the rest of the tribe being born Mansfield Woodhouse (Annie Kemp, James, Tom, Margaret Kemp). Rachel married either Otho COX or, more likely, William George MARLOW (1903). Tom may have married Annie BUTTERY.

red mail Rhodhouse, Mansfield Woodhouse
Joseph Rhoadhouse married Hannah Sissons on 22nd February, 1819. Although Hannah had several children they may or may not be Joseph's as he seems to have disappeared and she seems to live most of the time with William Gill. Many of the children hadboth the names of Rhodhouse and Gill as follows: Stephen Gill Rhodhurst, John Gill Rhodhurst, Mary Gill Rhodhurst, Thomas Rhodhurst, William Gill Rhodhurst, Eliza Gill Rhodhurst, Ann Gill Rhodhurst, Ann Gill Rhodhurst, George Gill Rhodhurst, EdmundGill Rhodhurst, John Rhodhurst between 1823-1845. Help on any of the above would be greatly received although I do have quite a lot of information on them already. It is just the question of what exactly happened to Joseph Rhodhurst. The name canbe spelt in a variety of different ways.
