MacKenzie / McKenzie, William
William MCKENZIE bd 1806 and Catherine GRANT bd 1815 Contin Wiliam's baptismal record says 11 May 1808 in Urray, Ross and Cromarty. He was born to Roderick MacKenzie and Janet McLennan. They are my ancestors who emmigrated from Scotland shortly after the birth of their two children JANET 16 July 1836 and RODERICK in 01 September 1838 in Contin Parish. I can find baptismal records of the two children. The next I know of William and Catherine is that they are living in Canada in about 1838. Family lore, says William was a shepherd in Scotland, and that baby Roderick died at sea enroute to North America. I would love to have more information about them such as marriage information, relatives, occupations, residency, ship name, ship departure / arrival point, departure records, etc. Most appreciative of any help provide. Thank you. Greg

red mail McDonald/Gordon families
I am trying to find information on the McDonald/Gordon families from Arcan. Ellen(Helen) Gordon married a Donald McDonald in the early 1800s and had 4? children. John, Alexander, Donald and Mary. John emmigrated to New Zealand and Alexander or Donald to Australia. 1841 census shows them as living in Arcan.
red mail McCulloch in Urray
I'm trying to find information on William McCulloch and Ann Simpson, who married in Golspie in 1789. Their daughter Mary was born in Urray, north of Muir of Ord, then they moved to Linlithgow Bridge in Stirlingshire where William became an Innkeeper and various other children were born. Mary McCulloch in turn married William Fisher in 1812 in Edinburgh, and she later became proprietor of the Inn before it passed to her daughter Ann and son-in-law Robert Stewart. I'd be grateful for any connections or information regarding this family, why their daughter should be born in Urray, etc.
