My gggrandmother Agnes (Simpson) Rae born in1838 married James and they had 7 children all born in Partick. My great grandmother Jeanie was one of them, trying to find death dates of the rest but I do have birth dates. John, Agnes, James, George, William, David. The census of 1881 shows them living at 291 Dumbarton Rd. Govan, Partick. Any help is much appreciated....thank you Ann

Looking for information about wife's grandfather, Samuel Henderson. Born in Partick about 1840-45 and later moved to Liverpool. He supposedly qualified as a pharmacist at Glasgow university. Reportedly had two sons, Samuel and Daniel, who went to Kansas City just after the Civil War and opened an "Emporium". Perhaps went to England in disgrace for some unknown reason where he had a late marriage to Mary Ann Adams with whom he had three children, Nora, Norman and Allen. We are seeking his parents and any information about the sons who went to the U.S.A.

Trying to find details of the Strang family who lived around the west side of glasgow. James Strang was born in Wigton c1799 and was a watchmaker. This seems to have been the family business but Peter his son went into brassfinishing. Also looking for relatives of Mary Mcmillan of Colonsay(hotel cook) who married James Strang in Glasgow in 1890.
