Looking for death of Elspet Mantach m.s.Grant. Also known as Beatrix and Elizabeth. Family all around Rothes, Morayshire area. Married John Mantach 1794 and was aged 87 in 1851. Doesn't seem to have survived 1855 Civil Registration. Any information or suggestions re death would be appreciated.

Iam trying to find information on Albert Reader. Born 1892 Ross-shire. I belive he was a policeman in the Forres area but may have moved South about 1930.He lived a while in Northumberland but died in Scotland. His Father (Fredrick)was a gamekeeper. Albert was in the Seaforth Highlanders in WW1 hIS wife was called Ada and came from Reading in England. If anyone can help me with any info on the Reader family in Forres/Rothes or policemen in Rothes about 1929 I would appreciate it.

I am trying to find information on the family of Robert and Agnes (Garioch) ENGLAND of County Moray, Scotland. They had twin sons, Robert and Alexander, born 6 Nov. 1756. Does someone have a Moray film or CD to do a lookup? Trying to determine if Robert Jr. came to Canada in or before 1783.

Janet Grant 31 years old at 1851 Census had a child Alexander Grant Douglas Born 28 Dec 1846 with William Douglas 17 years old at 1841 Census living with William Douglas age 70 at 1841 Census and Ann (nee Lobban)Douglas age 70 at 1841 Census at 34 New Street. Witnesses to baptism on 24 Jan 1947 were Jane Grant and Alexander Grant. James Grant, apprenticed mason living with William & Ann douglas at 1841 census. John Douglas & Janet Douglas living next door. Suggest Mary Grant may be Janet's sister as New Street runs parallel to New Street and the Grant girls seem to be active with the boys in the area.

Anne 1801 Born Baptised with Barbara again in Alves We also found a Lewis Hay m Margaret Watson 5/9/1736 Kirkmichael Maybe James Father? Robert was transported to Australia and has a long dynasty here, but what happened to his wife,children & Sibling? Would be happy to share Australian info if I could only find the Scotland info.
