red mail CLARK at Stanley, Tanfield, Kyo, etc, etc
I am researching the family of Thomas CLARK and his wife Ann (née ROBINSON) who appeared in the 1911 census at 10 Oakeys Cottages. The census reveals Ann had given birth to 10 children of whom five had died before the date of the 1911 census. I have names of the living children but no information concerning the five who had died in their childhood. None of the five appeared with their parents in the censuses of 1891 or 1901. Any info concerning any members of this family would be very gratefully received! Robert.

red mail Alderson / Spedding
Hi I am hoping someone can help me with information regarding the Alderson family of Stanley between 1907 and 1930. I believe that Ernest Alderson (who married Ellen Spedding in 1907) may be my maternal grandfather and am anxious both to confirm his identity, and his movements in the period 1919 to 1930. I am reasonably certain that if I have the correct gentleman that he left his wife following the Great War (at least for a period)perhaps attempting a reconciliation around 1925-1927. Any information would be gratefully received MTIA Dave
