Mary Jones B. c1844 Tredegar
My G.G. grandmother was called Mary Jones B circa 1844 in Tredegar, S. Wales. She married John Davies, B. circa 1844 in Manchester. He was a Bill Poster. My problem is that in the 1851 census there were 3 Mary Jones, all born circa 1844 in Tredegar. 1. Mary Jones D/O Thomas & Rachel Jones, 40 Church St. Tredegar. 2. Mary Jones D/O Thomas & Elizabeth Jones,67 Spout Row,Tredegar 3. Mary Jones D/O Ebenezer & Mary Jones, 54 Spout Row, Tredegar. I don't know which one married John Davies from Manchester. They travelled the country together with John's work, their children being born in several different towns. They eventually settled in Doncaster, Yorkshire, where my mother was born. I should be grateful if anyone knows any Jones family from Tredegar, or any descendants of these 3 Mary Jones.
red mail Mon Tredegar Sth Wales
Hi I am trying to locate birth details on Ivor John Lynch born 3 May 1908. His father was Michael Lynch who was born Macroom Ireland abt 1883, he migrated to Australia in 1911. I have not been able to find any details of his registered birth anywhere. First record was the 1911 census. I have no details of his mother as she apparently died abt 1909/1910. Ivor was bought up by his uncle and aunt Patrick and Rose Lynch who were living in 1911 at 28 Church St Penrhiwceiber Glamorgan. Ivor married in 1936 to Vera Woodbridge, worked for a time in the army and then later during WW2 in the Merchant Navy as a carpenter and then the family immigrated to Australia in 1948 to join his father here. If anyone has any information I would be much appreciative. Thank you Bev
