Hi Robert Lloyd was my Great Grandfather I know he lived with his wife Sarah Lloyd and Children John, George, Robert (my grandfather), Florence and Elsie at 16 Taff Street, Treherbert, up to his death 1906, he was killed in a fight outside the Railway Bar Hotel, Station Street, Treherbert. - If anyone has a photo of the Railway Bar Hotel, Treherbert an old postcard I would be extremly grateful. His family in the 1911 Wales census are still living at this address and I would welcome any of his descendants to contact me. Also would welcome anyone contacting me who has any information on Robert Lloyd and his family.as I am researching my family tree which I have been doing for several years As a child I stayed in Treherbert with my grandmother Elizabeth Lloyd nee Gunn she married Robert Lloyd (my grandfather). many times and at the time I was too young to take in what had become of my Great Grandfather, but enjoyed spending time with her and listening to her memories of her family. Her Father James Gunn was a Theatre Manager in Treherbert and was in charge of the Opera Theatre in Treherbert and The Grand. Treherbert. which i have photos of as my granny gave them to me.
