red mail Newby family
Charles Newby moved to Upton from Alburgh in Norfolk. He was a chimney sweep but somehow turned himself into a baker/confectioner. His eldest son William Chas was also a chimney sweep but he was born in Paddington. One daughter died but the remaining siblings all thrived, one of them being my grandfather Percy also a baker. The only surviving sister Doris went on to be a teacher. Any information gratefully received.
