red mail HARDING family 1815+
Thomas Harding was born in Usk Monmouthshire c.1815 & became a Wesleyan minister. Probably married Mary Anne Watkins in 1841 in Abergavenny district. His son Thomas Olver Harding became a Cambridge scholar, mathematician and barrister at law. From family lore, it is conjectured the older Thomas may have been the son of John Harding (occupation excise officer) and Ann (nee Bunt)married at Wyke Regis, Dorset in 1811(details from the Australian death certificate of their first child Anne, later Tucker.) Interested in any details of either the excise service in Usk or the Harding family.
