red mail Elton Family
Researching anything about the Eltons who lived at a cottage in Eastbrook, close to The Cricketers. Henry Elton was a carpenter and his wife Hannah acted as a widwife. Henry died there in 1918 and Hannah in 1920. They had two children Louisa Eliza b.1881(my grandmother) who married Cecil Stickland there in 1904; and Ernest John b.1893(adopted son born Frampton s/o Edith Jane) who was a sergeant pilot in the RFC in WW1. Any information at all very welcome. Judy.

red mail HAGGAR FAMILY: Searching for people who knew LILLIAN (aka KITTY) HAGGAR
I'm looking for any information on the maternal HAGGAR side of my family tree. My Aunt, Lillian Kate Haggar (died in Wimborne early 1970's); her younger brother James Haggar, driver on Dorset buses - commited suicide as a young man in Wimborne; their younger sister Freda Haggar (my mother) worked as a chambermaid in Bournemouth, and in a munitions factory in Wimborne during WWII. Their mother (my grandmother) Kate Haggar (nee Silverton) was the daughter of a dancer, and was married to James Haggar, younger son of William Haggar. Lillian Haggar was known as Kitty since she and her mother Kate performed professionally as a "sister act" duo on the stage for a number of years traveling around England, Scotland and Wales. Later Lillian (Kitty) Haggar worked each summer as a waitress in Wales, (Aberistwyth was one location). Kate, James, Lillian (Kitty), and Freda Haggar lived together on Grove Road in Wimborne .

She is named as a sister in the 1754 will of John Moores, a Newfoundland Planter. The will is in the Wimborne Peculiar Court records. I am interested in any connections her family might have had with the Moores in Wimborne as there were later connections between the Moores and the Noel/Newells in Newfoundland. Pete
