Burrows Family
I am trying to trace any present day descendants of Edwin Edgar BURROWS. Edwin died at the Somme and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He was Married to Ellen BURROWS (nee BLEAKLEY) and the couples children on the 1911 census are James age 8 b1903, Ellen age 7 b1904, Francis age 6 b1905, Charles age 4 b1907, Matilda age 2 b 1909. A further daughter Gladys was born in 1915. Descendants of Edwin have left commemorations to him on a British Legion website, but that doesn't allow contacts. If this registers with you, I would like to hear from you.
red mail SLATER
I am seeking information relating to the Slater family who lived in Willesden around 1911 on wards. A Charles Alfred Slater who was born April 1896 and a Brian T Slater born 1926. Brian T may be the Thomas, Tom I am seeing knowledge of. He spent time around Acton Sept/Oct 1949 and knew a young girl named Vera Kathleen Walker. Any information would be of assistance. Thank you
red mail O'Connor Family
I am looking for information about my fathers relations in Acton London. His Aunt Johanna (Hannie) Spillane from Coutny Kerry in Ireland married a John O'Connor from Ireland and had three sons Tom, Terence and Kevin O'Connor. They lived in The Bye Acton.
I am seeking information relating to a Thomas Slater born between 1930 and 1933. I assume around the Middlesex area. He frequented Acton, West London during 1948 - 1950, and knew the Walker family (Builders and Decorators?) of 1 Mansell Road, Acton, West London. Any information will be received gratefully.
I am seeking information on the the following people so that I may add to my family map. Ellen (Burrows) and George Walker, 1 Mansell Road, Acton, West London circa 1940-1972? Possible builders and decorators. David J Walker DoB 1942 Willesden married Jean Banham. Barbara A Walker DoB 1940 Brentford married Peter Jackson. Margerate E Walker DoB 1937 married Anthony Bayne. George C Walker DoB 1934 married Daphne Ward. I believe the above is accurate, however I could be wrong. Some of it is based on logical conclusions, from dates, and places. Anyone reading this thank you for your time and indulgence.

Looking to identify location of grocery store pictured in old photo I have. On top of entrance is the name Harry Dawbarn --Tea Provisioner and Grocer 1881 Census info shows a Harry Dawbarn b.1855 living on Churchfield Rd. in Acton and occupation is listed as Tea Dealer. Both my great grandfather (David Turner) and great-great grandfather (Eli Turner) were grocers but I don't know how this photo came into their possession and if they ever were owners or worked at the Dawbarn grocery store. The 1911 census gives them as living in Bridgman Road, Acton.
