I am looking for any information on the Haines and Knight family. My great grandfather Alfred Haines was born in 1863, I'm not sure of his mother's name but his father was Charles Haines. Alfred married Ellen Knight who was born in1866 at The Baptist Chapel, Alcester on the 23rd October 1889 at the time of the marriage Alfred's residence is listed as Bevington, Salford and Ellen was resident at Pitchill, Salford. Ellen's father was George Knight. The witnesses were George Knight and Caroline Knight. Caroline, I believe was Ellen's sister and I have a bible which bears the following inscription "Caroline Knight Pitchill December 1875 Search The Scriptures. Alfred had two brothers whose names I believe were Thomas & William. Alfred and Ellen moved first to Manchester and then Liverpool and they had two children, my grandfather George and a daughter Alice. They remained in Liverpool until their deaths, Alfred died in 1919 but Ellen lived until 1950. I would be so pleased to receive any information. Sue

red mail William Frank Holmes - Alcester/Salt Lake City
Born in Alcester to Frederick and Emma Holmes (nee Sollis) in 1871/72, he died in 1903 aged 32 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Any information about how and why he went to the United States would be most welcome and appreciated.
red mail Pitcher Family
I am tracing my grandmothers side of the family. Her name was Nellie Maria Pitcher born 1902 to parents John and Lucy Emma Pitcher (nee Holmes). All of the Pitcher children were christened at the church in Alcester, but they ended up living at Headless Cross in Redditch. John and Lucy had 8 Children (I think) with Charles John Pitcher being killed in WW1 (the family lived at Mount Pleasant Redditch at this time). My grandmother married Edward Brinkley in 1940 - he came from London. I vaguely remember some of my grans siblings, but would love to hear from anyone who knew them or of them or who are related in any way. Any information would be most welcome. thank you
red mail Molly Silvester, Avery, Morgans, Jackson
I am searching for any information about my nan Molly Morgans and her mother Charlotte Annie Silvester. Charlotte "Lottie" was born in 1888 in Clifford Chambers and her family lived on their until into the 1960s - (her sister Lily, at least, and Minnie another sister married an Arthur Roles and has a memorial inscription at Clifford Chambers church.) Charlotte was resident in Clifford Chambers until at least 1901. She then turns up at no. 45 New Street, Birmingham in 1911 as domestic help to a Mrs J Ensor and her daughter Elsie M Ensor. Following that there is a bit of confusion however. My nan's brother Graham Silvester was born in 1912 and his birth was registered in Alcester, Warks. Nan (Molly Silvester then) was born in 1915 and also registered in Alcester. It was always said to us that nan (and supposedly Graham too) was left on the door step of the Swan hotel in Alcester and then looked after by a Mrs Jackson. I can find no trace of Charlotte or Lottie Silvester after this time, no marriages, or deaths that are backed up by documented evidence. She may have married or changed her name or moved away. Nan said that when she grew up, she visited the house where her mother was said to live in Clifford Chambers, but was told that her mother wasn't available. She didn't try again. Nan later married and became Molly Avery (married to Fred), and then later Molly Morgans (married to Roger). I am hoping for any information at all about the SILVESTER family of Clifford Chambers (living at Maybank or Aaron's Leys) the JACKSON family of Alcester who may have taken nan in (there are records of Jacksons living in Evesham Street.) If anyone has any older relatives that lived in Alcester at this time, or heard stories etc I would be grateful to hear anything. Thank you

red mail Percy and Concetta Cerrone/ Also William Baylis, Alcester
Looking for any information on the Cerrone family living in Alcester after 1900 until 1918/19. Census records show them living in Bleachfield Street in 1911. I am told Percy grew herbs in Alcester for a living. He died in 1918 and is buried in Alcester cemetary. They came over from Italy late 1800's, and married in Birmingham in 1900. They had four sons, Peter Ontonio, Matthew Mark, Anthony and John. After Percy died in 1918, I am not sure whether Concetta and the boys stayed in Alcester, but she married a William Baylis in 1919. I am not sure if they then moved as Concetta died in 1921 and I think she is buried in Aston in Birmingham. I am not sure what happened to the boys after Percy died until i have records in 1938 and they were living in Bartholemew Street in Birmingham with the Lombardi family, Ascenza Lombardi was Concetta's sister. Any help or stories, would love to hear from you.
