red mail William Spicer & Henrietta Dobs 1732
As the title states. William Spicer married Henrietta Dobs 23 Oct 1732. They moved from Andover to Ludgershall, Wiltshire, England and started a family, starting with son William (born: 1735); John (born: 1738); Samuel (born: 1741); Hannahretta (born: 1744); Richard (born: 1747); James (born: 1751); Lydia (born: 1761). Henrietta died on 10 Jan 1762. William and son's Samuel, Richard and James all left Ludgershall after Henrietta died, assuming moving to find employment. Leaving Hannahretta to raise Lydia herself. William married Sarah Reynolds on 11 Oct 1762. William who married Henrietta Dobs, he is the focal point of my search as he is our direct descendant. All I have for him is he was born in Tunworth or Tunsworth, Hampshire. I have no idea when he was born and I don't even know when he died. All I have are assumptions which isn't good at present, but I think you can do the math, being married in 1732 he would have to have been at least 20 by then so give or take 10 years he most likely was born around 1710 or 1700 - 1715. Now for the death I have come up with 1777 - 1780. His wife Henrietta Dobs was born in 1712. The death for her is as much as I do know, the 1712 is a rough guess. If anyone has information on where this William Spicer ended up and confirm when he was born, it would be much appreciated by this ancestor continuing to follow this line.
red mail John Chiles (Andover 1848 - Uxbridge 1919)
Looking to contact members of the Chiles family, originally of Barton Stacey and Andover. I am particularly interested in any information regarding their connection with the Starnes family, who came from Middlesex, around Sipson, Harmondsworth, West Drayton and Yiewsley. John Chiles married Emily Mary Starnes at Staines in 1881. In 1901, my grandmother, Ada Agnes Starnes, was staying with the Chiles family at "The Ruins" in Barton Stacey, which may have been a mispelling in the census of "The Rowens" which still exists under that name.
red mail Thomas William Perrett
I am trying to find the birth of a Thomas William Perrett who was probably born somewhere in the south of England in about 1840?? I know that he was a soldier and most likely served in India. He had a son, also Thomas William Perrett, who was born in Bangalore, India in about 1863. I don't know who the wife of Thomas William Senior was. Before the marriage of Thomas William Junior to Annie Asbridge in 1887, in Andover Hampshire, he says that he was living in Caversham, Oxfordshire.
red mail PERRETT/ASBRIDGE
I have a Thomas William Perrett who married Annie Asbridge in Andover, Hampshire on 26 Apr 1887. They had three children and I see that Annie (Asbridge) Perrett and the children ended up living with her parents soon after the marriage. Interestingly the children were born in Reading Berkshire and Parkstone Dorset, not in Andover. Thomas William Perrett is the mystery. At the time of his marriage he says that he was 23 (so born in about 1864) and he was living in Caversham Oxfordshire. I can find no birth record for him. He says his father was also Thomas William Perrett and was a soldier. Perhap Thomas died soon after the third child was born in 1891 but I can find no record of his death. Can anybody help with information about Thomas's birth, parents and death???

red mail George Rolfe born circa 1854 in Andover
George Rolfe was the 4th child of ten born to Samuel Rolfe (Ralph) and Mary Ann Gil(l)more in Andover. I have been unable to find George's birth registration, so maybe he wasn't. His father Samuel was born in Tidcombe, Wiltshire circa 1825 - his father was James Ralph born circa 1800 in Great Bedwyn, Wilts. His mother was Charlotte Rutt born circa 1806 in Hampshire. Would love to hear from other interested parties. Pam and Fred
