red mail Pollock
Hi, I'm looking for information on Jane Pollocks family. Jane born 1830 in Bangor was the daughter of John Pollock and Ellen (Fitchie - this is what I've been told but have been unable to confirm this). I would really appreciate any info about this family. Thanks. Regards Leah.
red mail Halliday
Hi I'm looking for information about my Halliday family. My great great grandfather Samuel Halliday born in Bangor in 1831 came to New Zealand on the Lanceshire Witch in 1865 with his wife Jane (born Pollock) and their 3 eldest sons. They married March 1855. His parents were George and Margaret Halliday who I believe are buried in Bangor Abbey Cemetery. I have been told that Margaret's maiden name was Brogan but I haven't been able to find anything to confirm this. This is really all the information I have about this family and would really appreciate any help given. Much thanks in advance. Regards Leah.
I'm researching MARY RUSSELL (born about 1810) of BALLYHOLM who married in 1829. She relocated to GRANSHA, near SIX ROAD ENDS after her marriage.

Hi I am looking for gertrude howarth who was in Bangor in 1911.she was a vocalist who may have gone under the name of gertrude silvester. Gertrude gave birth to a son.--vivian howarth. red mail John Claney
John Claney ( circa 1820) arrived in Australia on the Morning Light Feb 1867. He left Ireland with his youngest son Alexander born 1851, after his wife nee Nancy McGill died. Alexander was born in Antrim, Ballymede( from another family history)but I can find no record of his birth or of the other 3 sons. Ships record shows John's dob as 1822 on departing Liverpool for Australia. Other sons, William 1844, Archibald 1846, or George 1849 were already in Australia. Hearsay that family were originally of Spanish origin, and John's father's name may have been Henry.
