Patrick's profession described as 'soldier'. Possibly enlisted in 67th Hampshire Regiment of Foot and then served with Kings Own Borders (name changed to 25th Regiment Foot in 1887). Possible discharge circa 1867/1868. Seeking information about: Patrick HEALY's early life and military service, and what he did between discharge and emigrating to New Zealand; and information about Eliza HOOPER. Children:possible child born 1861 at Shorncliffe Kent (assume died in infancy); Ellen 1863 Edinburgh Barracks; Eliza 1867 Broughton Lancashire; Bridget Agnes 1868 Limerick; Mary 1871 Limerick; Elizabeth Anne (known as Annie?) 1873 possibly Limerick. Family sailed for New Zealand 1874 on the "Loch Awe". Grateful any information or tips people may have. Many thanks.

I am seeking information about my GGG grandmother Catherine Malowney. She immigrated to New South Wales from Limerick in 1841 (a bounty immigrant on the ship Livingstone). I believe she had a brother Michael and her occupation on the shipping records is listed as kitchen maid. Catherine's parents had died when she came out to Australia. Their names may have beem Catherine and Michael. Catherine married Irishman, Manus McDonnell from Co Mayo and they had 8 children. She died in 1860 in Maitland, NSW.

Children as follows JOSEPH 1858, ELLEN 1860, ELIZABETH 1862, MARY 1864, CATHERINE 1867, and LANCELOT 1870, born mostly in Bermondsey.
