red mail Fr. Emmet CONWAY died in Delgany circa 1922 Delgany, Deilgne, and Parish
Hello, I am a descendant of the CONWAY family originally from Nobber Co. Meath. Fr. Emmet Conway was my grand uncle and very little is known about him other than he is buried in Delgany . His mother Elizabeth Conway (nee MOLLOY) died shortly afterwards and is buried with Fr. Emmet. I am very interested in finding out what brought Emmet to Delgany and why his mother also died in Delgany. Richard
red mail CHAPMANS of COUNTY WICKLOW Newtownmountkennedy
William George CHAPMAN was born in Newtownmountkennedy about 1832. It appears he left Ireland about 1852. He first went to Victoria, Australia and then on to New Zealand. According to his Death entry, his parents were William CHAPMAN and Sarah EDGE. William George is my husband's Great Great Grandfather and I would like to find out more about CHAPMANS of Newtownmountkennedy (or County Wicklow, generally) to see if I can widen my information about the family. I have information about William George and his descendants which I will happily share with anyone who is interested.
red mail Kilquade House and families Kilquade House
Can anyone tell me about Kilquade House and the families who lived and worked there? I have a document indicating that at least one of my ancestors worked for the O'Reilly family in the 1820s and would like to know if it is possible to visit the house these days or where the records belonging to the house are now kept.
