red mail McFadden
I am looking for any information about Jane Mcfadden who married Mark Hewett in 1854. According to Victoria's BDM her parents were Joseph McFadden and Rebecca Bunner. Mark Hewett had is father listed as Jacob Hewitt. Mark and Jane emigrated to Australia about 1857. Any information would be greatly apprecciated.
I am researching a branch of my family who I believe came from Kilmore, co. Armagh, namely Thomas Gardiner (b. 1809) and also his wife Harriet nee Grimley (b. 1814 Ireland - county & town not known). Father of Thomas may have been Singleton Gardiner. Thomas enlisted in Armagh with the 10th Battalion of the Royal Artillery on 8 Aug 1826 and spent almost 7 years in Corfu and 6 years in the West Indies where my GG grandmother, Harriet, was born. Returning to England, Thomas was discharged from the army on 13 Jul 1847 and was then employed as an Assistant Warder on the convict hulk "Warrior" in Woolwich. By the end of 1851, he took his wife and family aboard the "Marion" along with the 279 convicts it was his job to oversee and arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on 30 Jan 1852. I would be grateful for any info on these two families.

red mail George Woods
I am trying to find information about the family of George Woods, born 01.03.1894 in Kilmore, County Armagh. He was the son of Charles Woods, a publican/farmer and Bridget Donnelly. In the 1920's he lived in Old Trafford, Manchester and was a policeman at the time of his marriage to my aunt, Gertrude Mary Hollins, in 1926. He had several brothers and sisters living in the USA. He went to live in New York in 1928 but Gert would not go with him. He travelled between England and America several times, returning to England in 1934. He and Gert were divorced and I would like to know what happened to him.
