red mail Timmons - Where did they originate?
The records of the Quaker church in Lurgan have entries around 1700 for the Timmons family. They were linen weavers. George Timmons b. 29 APRIL 1672, married Mary Turner. Their children births are recorded in the church register from 1693 through 1702. Timmons is spelled Timmony in the record of contributions to the Quaker meeting house. Does anybody know where George Timmons was born in 1672? Family legend is that they were French Huguenots and Timmons is the Anglicization of their name.
red mail Hall's of this area Rooney's Lane
Margaret Anne Hall is daughter of Thomas Hall (1831 Tyrone, Ireland) & Mary McKenny (1823 Armagh)Mary McKenny is spelt loads of different ways on records, could be McKenna,McKenny, McKinney, Mckinny. Thomas and Mary married at Ardmore Church, Armagh March 1857 and had children William (1858, Armagh), Mary (1860, Armagh), Thomas (1863, Armagh), Margaret Anne (1865, Armagh), Elizabeth (1867, Armagh) and Samuel (1871, Walker, Northumberland UK) am looking for any info on these if you can help. Looks like they moved from Ireland between 1867 and 1870. Marriage of Margaret Anne Hall (1865 Portadown, Armagh) and John Hall took place St Johns Parish, Hebburn April 1891. Also on MC witnesses are Samuel Hall and a Jane Lewis. John and Margaret Hall then moved to Glasgow and settled there to raise a family which to date Halls from this marriage still live. Not sure when John died but Margaret Anne Hall died in 1920, Glasgow. If anyone connects to these could you please contact me, many thanks Angeline

red mail Mckeown Family
Hello I am researching my family history but have reached a stumbling block on my fathers history(Daniel Mckeown) as he orginates from Northern Ireland , he was born in Armagh in 1926 to Patrick and Annie Mckeown at 80 Edward Street in Lurgan. I know he had two sisters Annie and Mary and a brother Joeseph. My father was married twice 1st to a Mary Fynes in 1953 at Ballyashane, Londonderry and then in 1957 married my mother Mary Carey of Bedlington,Northumberland,England. I know little of my grandfather except he left his family in Ireland while he went to seek work in Canada possibly in Alberta around 1926 and little was seen of him afterwards so my father hinted at. His wifes maiden name was Mcguinness If anyone out there can provide information on my family history it would be much appreciated.
