red mail Smyth-Macosquin-Drumaquill
I would like to know if anyone has information about my relative Samuel Smyth and his family. Samuel came from Ballinteer. He married Jane Blair who came from Ballinrees in the 2nd Dunboe church in 1853. After they married they had a farm at "Drumaquill". Among their children they had four daughters: Mary Ann, Martha, Margaret and Liza which I found baptizmal records for at the 2nd Dunboe church, but the church did not have records of Samuel's children before 1865 and I know that Samuel had a son because my grandmother told me that this son took over the farm. Samuel's father's name was James Smyth and Jane blair's father's name was John Blair
red mail Hunter
I'm looking for details of Andrew Hunter born Coleraine about 1800. He joined the Royal Sappers & Miners in 1826 when they were surveying in the area. His eldest son is called Charles Halbert Mallock (or Mellish) Hunter. Father Andrew was discharged in 1829 and received a pension. He and his family moved to Canada sometime in the late 1840's Any details of their time in Ireland would be gratefully received, especially the names of the son, Charles.
