Abraham Tugnett of Wiston, Sussex married Frances Tate of Sompting 12th Jan 1828. Son Thomas was baptised at Southwick on 6th Oct 1833. The family then moved to Findon. Abraham bapt 1st Jan 1804 at Wiston, was the son of Thomas Tugnett and Elizabeth (?Merrit) married 1st Oct 1791 at Ashington. This Thomas born about 1766 may be the son of Thomas Tugnot? and Ann ??? (marriage record not yet found) but shown in 1841 Census at Rodmell, Sussex.

Looking for info on Abraham Tugnett given as father of Thomas Tugnett who married Margaret Goodfellow on 8th April 1852 at Newry. They may have had a son John Tugnett born abt 1857 in ireland. He appears in the 1920 U.S. census. Margaret Tugnett appears in 1901 at 35 Castle St, Newry, Co.Down. and at William St. Newry in 1911 census. Mary Margaret Tugnett recorded as died age 78 Spt Qtr 1915 at Newry (is this her?). Has anyone more information?
The policemen in charge at the Newry RIC station in the mid-nineteenth century (a joint station with Ballybot on the west side of the Newry Water in Co. Antrim) were W Madders (Head Constable) (1853-54), James Armstrong (a.c.)(1856), W Madders (Head Constable) again (1857-58), C Kennett (Head Constable) (1864-65), P Fitzpatrick (Head Constable)(1866-67).

Looking for information about the above who were married on 7th January 1915 at Church of Haggardstown in Dundalk Co. Louth. Both resided in an area called Fair Hill. He was 27 at time of marriage and she was 19. Both had fathers named John. I am looking for information about their forebears and about the early death of Mary Duffy. He was in Kings Own LIverpool Rifles in WW1 and was stationed in Liverpool in 1920 where his daughter Catherine was born. I am trying to establish a link to a Frenchman in the Blanchfield family in the period 1798-1805.
