red mail Lee family of Burton upon Trent
I am looking for any Lee family members living in Burton on Trent that may be linked to my Great Grandfather John George Lee born in Sileby and moved to Burton - my Grandfather was Frederick Lee and he had many other siblings that were born in Burton which is where my dad was also born. Frederick was born around 1902 and unfortunately died at 32 when my father was about 6 years old. I would love to find someone linked to my family as I do not have any photographs of this side of the family as when my nan later remarried her new husband destroyed any photos of her previous husband. I have extensive research i have done in Ancestry and confirmed DNA with some in my tree, but as yet not found anyone linked to John George. If anyone can help it would be fantastic.

red mail Family mystery - Yates, Gothard, Mousley
JOHN YATES (1813-1857) of Walton-on-Trent married SARAH MOUSLEY (1809-1857) of Burton-on-Trent. They had four children, Sarah, John Mousley, William Henry and Catherine Elizabeth. At some point they moved to London, where John Yates had a tailor shop at 66 Jermyn Street. Sarahs sister Catherine Mousley also lived with them. After John and Sarah both died in 1857, the four children moved back to Burton-on-Trent with their aunt Catherine. After they grew up all four siblings emigrated to America (at different times), along with William Henrys wife MARY ELIZABETH GOTHARD (m. 1873 in St. Modwens). The kicker is that Mary Elizabeth apparently got fed up with William Henry and came BACK to England!! I would love to hear from any of the GOTHARD family who might have old letters or info about why she came back and what happened to her. I would also love to hear from any YATES or MOUSLEY family with connections to Burton-on-Trent. I have a collection of old family & friends photos from the 1800s that I would love to identify. Thanks! - Crispin
