Could anyone help us with the following information. B. 1831 in Ballintra, Ireland. Married 27 March 1865. Could anyone have any information about his mother and father or any brothers or sisters.
red mail Balliintra Quinn family
Ballintra is located in the southern part of County Donegal. My family comes from there, although we believe they may have originally been from Tyrone. The Quinn family was also located at Lisnapaste (Ballinakillew Mountain), Lough Eske, Rosilly Bar, Laghey, Fintown, and many of the surrounding villages. Some of the family names include: John Quinn (born ca 1780-90), his wife Bridget Murphy (born same), their son James Quinn born 1828. Related but we are not sure how include a Daniel Quinn who owned a farm at the top of the street in Ballintra (the church of Ireland now stands there), Andrew Quinn, Patrick Quinn, Donal Quinn, Edward Quinn, Catherine Quinn, Mary Anne Quinn, Rose Quinn. All these people were born during the time period of 1780-1830. Other surnames connected to us include McGowan, Tunney, Cassidy, Gallagher, McGonigle, Forde, Travers - there are MANY others. Think there is a connection? Please contact me.
