red mail James Kelly Thomastown, Baile Mhic Andain, and Parish
Hi, Im looking for any information about surviving relatives of James Kelly, born I think January 1934, died 26th January 1969 in Brighton, where he had gone to find work (in late 1950s I think). Im his daughter, born January 1964 in Brighton. He had a younger brother Robert, and I believe other younger siblings. I have met Roberts grandson Andy, who told me that the whole family were aware of me, and that Id been given up for adoption-their mother, whose maiden name was, I think, Byrne, was insistent that I be found. So, any info about Jamess siblings or any other family - I believe they are still in Thomastown - would be great. Thanks.
red mail FISHER family of Glenmore County Kilkenny, Cill Channaigh, KID, (Province of Leinster, Laighin)
I have Susan Fisher bp 17 Nov 1818 (of Ballycrony) at Glenmore R.C.; father Thomas Fisher, mother Anastatia Murphy. They were married at Glenmore on 23 Nov 1812 (of Bussherstown). There were two older sisters and two younger brothers of Susan born of the marriage, and baptised at Glenmore. I am seeking Susan Fisher b.c 1819, supposedly a sister of Susan. Susan Fisher (definitely) and Sarah Fisher (?) departed from Cork in 1835 for London prior to boarding the "Charles Kerr" bound for Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) in July 1835. It is possible/likely that Susan and Sarah were not related - and that Sarah may not have been born in Ireland. Any help in finding Sarah in Ireland would be most gratefully received. Jay
