James was a nail maker and they had the following chiidren: Mary John Matthew Thomas Michael Sarah and Peter. Mary and Peter emigrated to England to Manchester. Mary was my 2 x great garndmother.

My Great great grandfather was from County Monaghan Ireland, Barnard McEnaney, he went to Durham outside Newcastle and had family of John, Thomas, Bernard, Annie, James. John was my great grandfather who married Bridget Nelson at Lanchester in Durham in 1897.Family Thomas b-1898, Denis my granfather b-1899, Winifred (Coyle), Edward, James, Mary(Strother), Agatha, Barbara, Annie(Hutchison),Theresa(Black).

Looking for any information on the McEnaney family of Carrickmacross/ Shercock/ Corrinenty. My Great Grandfather John was the son of Michael McEnaney a farmer. He left Ireland and married in Newcastle in 1890. His eldest brother inherited the farm - his sons may have been Frank and John McEnaney. They also left for Tyneside but returned to Dublin in the 1950's. The rest of the family went to the USA, probably Boston. Other family names could include Larkin (Mary, Kathleen, Tommy John) and Marron(Ellen and Micky).

Looking for descendants of the McMahon family in Carrickmacross associated with Ross McMahon described as a publican. Patrick McMahon left town in 1849 during the famine, went to England and joined East India Company regiment and served in India. Returned to Sheerness in Kent in 1874 and was discharged as army pensioner and he worked as a musician. Married Eliza Morrison ( nee Reavil) and had children: James Patrick, Eliza, Eva, Arthur Ross and William in 1870 to 1890. WHo was Ross McMahon married to? What happened to Ross McMahon?
