red mail Samuel Fitz Henry Waterford, Port Lairge, and Parish
Samuel Fitz Henry was born about 1799 in the South of Ireland. Possibly in the vicinity of Waterford or Wexford. I would appreciate any help finding his birth/baptism and parents. Samuel married Mary Ann Banks (1806-1883) on the 1 Nov 1832 in the Church of Ireland Church, Athy, Co. Carlow. The couple had 8 children; the eldest named Robert Fitz Henry, born in Londonderry. (1836-1914) His profession is shown as a Wesleyan Minister, Draper & Farmer, in Co. Kilkenny. Our Samuel was an Auctioneer and Valuator as well as a Furniture Maker with a warehouse at No. 36 Kings Street, Dublin. He died aged 64, while conducting an auction on behalf of the owner a Mrs. Alcock on the 24 October 1864 at Richmond House, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. Samuel and a very large gathering of the public attending that part of the auction crashed to the lower floor when the balcony they were all on collapsed under them. Samuel died on the 28th from the shock and pain of a severely shattered leg which had been amputated. His body was taken to their home at No. 4 Little George Street, Waterford, from where he was buried at the Protestant Cemetery, St. Johns Hill, Waterford.
red mail Brownriggs & Grahams in Waterford Waterford, Port Lairge, and Parish
Henry BROWNRIGG (c1772- ) and Jane SPARROW (c1776- ) married 1797 Waterford, Ireland. Their daughter Anna Maria BROWNRIGG (1813-1878) married Charles GRAHAM (1817-1892) in Waterford in Aug 1843. He was a Primitive Wesleyan Methodist Minister in Waterford, Cork and Mallow in the 1840s, later a Congregational Minister (not to be confused with an earlier Charles Graham, the Apostle of Kerry). Their children were born in Ireland, 4 sons - unknown GRAHAM (eldest, died young), Samuel GRAHAM (1846-55), Charles Hunter GRAHAM (c1850-89), James Henry Stuart GRAHAM (1852-96) - and a daughter Jane Anna GRAHAM (c1847-1929), who married Edward John Reddie in 1884 (my greatgrandparents). By 1862 the family was living in London. Anyone know any more about their life in Waterford, please?

red mail McCaffre Waterford, Port Lairge, and Parish
This is a long shot but I am trying to find the family details of a Patric McCaffre (my 4 x great-grandfather) who I believe was born in Waterford around 1797. He appears to have left Ireland as a young man and turned up in Sunderland, Durham where my earliest record is a marriage to an Isabella Smith in 1818 (she was not Irish). He was Roman Catholic and the religion was maintained through his children although by the third generation many had married out. The 1841 census for Sunderland shows 5 surviving children. In later records his name had been anglicised to Patrick Caffrey and his occupation has always been given as a Stonemason's Labourer. He died in Sunderland in 1867 from asthma and old age, his occupation being given as labourer. His wife had died a couple of years before and on her death certificate it gives her husbands former occupation as a soldier. There are a large number of Caffreys in Sunderland and the immediate surrounding area; my direct ancestor Robert, Patric's son had 10 children and they all appear to have had between 5 and 10 children each. I am wondering if any of the family returned to Ireland to visit at any stage? If anyone has any information it would help with a very large brick wall!!

red mail Mary Anne Floyd and Samuel Jason Flewellen Ferrybank
I am looking for information about the ancestors of Mary Anne and Samuel Flewellyn who were married in Waterford in 1874. Mary Anne, Samuel's first wife, died following the birth of their son Thomas William Flewellen in April 1875, and is buried at the Abbey at Kilculliheen, Ferrybank. Perhaps Mary Anne's son and other members of her family and possibly Samuel's are also buried there. Samuel's father was probably Thomas. Any relevant information would be appreciated.
