Harris Youghal, Eochaill, and Parish
Does anyone have any information of a famliy living in Cork( or possibly Waterford) by the name of Harris please?
SHEEHAN/HARRIS SHEEHAN Youghal, Eochaill, and Parish
Am looking for any information about a family called SHEEHAN also possibly known as HARRIS SHEEHAN. I am particularly interested in a Michael HARRIS SHEEHAN born 1833 who was a coastguard and held Masters and Mates certificates. He had a brother James HARRIS SHEEHAN born 1836 who was also a coastguard and held the same certificates. I have found a Michael HARRIS SHEEHAN in the 1901 and 1911 censuses but this Michael also a sailor was born in 1872 so there could be a connection which I would also be interested in. This family lived in Cork Lane. The Michael born in 1833 was supposed to have a daughter called Kate SHEEHAN who was born in Youghal in 1867. She married a William Moses in Sussex England in1893 and eventually moved to the Isle of Wight.

red mail Ronan/Ronayne/Ronane Ballymacoda
I am looking for my Ronan Family from this area. My Great Great Great Grandfather was Thomas Ronan who was married to Elizabeth Gilholy(?) they had at least 1 child Patrick my Great, Great Grandfather. I do have a theory that the couple had more children and Patrick was the youngest of about 6 before dying shortly after Patrick's birth and somehow Patrick ended up coming to America with either his Uncle or his brother David a carpenter who was married to a Catherine Ryan or Daly from Ballymacoda and they had a son William. Upon reaching America all these Ronan's settled in NYC until their deaths. Patrick married Anna McCaffrey about 1856, William married Elizabeth Corcoran. I know that Patrick and Anna had 6 living children as of 1900 their youngest child Anna b. 1879 is my Great Grandmother, their son William had two children Madaline and Arthur, Madaline married a Peter Raihl and had at least 1 child a daughter as of 1930. I would love any information of the family roots in Ireland and in New York..........

red mail Edward Power Youghal, Eochaill, and Parish
I am trying to find any information about Edward Power, whose son, John Rose Power, was born in Youghal in about 1819. Edward Power is just listed as "Gentleman" on John Rose Power's marriage certificate. John Rose Power married Henrietta Hales in Dublin in 1846 and then came to the UK where he was a School Master.
red mail WILSON Youghal, Eochaill, and Parish
Looking for my great grandmother's family in Youghal. Anne Wilson born 1827 in Youghal married 1851 in Middleton a James Richard Long who was a British soldier from Kent, England. Rumor has it that James left Ireland in disgrace after a run in with a local priest over tithing. Anne Wilson's family may have owned and operated a local inn in Youghal. All the children have Irish names.
