red mail Patrick Ryan New Ross, Ros Mhic Thriuin, Ross
Patrick Ryan, my Great Great Grand Father came from New Ross, County Wexford, Parish of Ferns and settled here in Torbay, Newfoundland, Canada around 1810. His wife, Anne (Twomley) also of New Ross arrived at Torbay in 1815. Patrick's will made provision that "William Culleton, Brogue Maker resident at the head of Main Street, New Ross and Thos Finn Brogue Maker also resident at the Buning opposite the church in the town of New Ross County Wexford Ireland be both repaid for covering both Patrick's and his wife's passage to Newfoundland". I hope these points will generate some leads on the origin of Patrick and Ann.
