William Thompson had a female relative, Mary Thompson, who was a witness and informant to William Clint's birth. William left Portavogie and arrived in Chicago in 1891. In 1892 he married Mary Curran, daughter of James Curran and Rachel Warnock. I am also interested in learning about William Clint, Jane's father, who was a blacksmith in Portavogie, b. 1812, d. abt 1892, and who is mentioned on her marriage certificate to Hugh Coffee.
