red mail Historians out there
Please does anyone know WHO the skipper was of the British racing yacht the "Iverna"?. This boat ended up as a wreck in Salcombe harbour in the early 19th century. I have a feeling it was owned by the Hichens family , but not sure. I appreciate any feedback , as this could tie into my Family history connections. wendy

Binmore Family
Emma Elizabeth Wells (nee BINMORE) who married Frederick Augustus Churcher WELLS in PORTSEA in 1862 and had a son Thomas George Binmore WELLS born 1862, FACW emigrated in 1866 to New Zealand but neither Emma or son Thomas went with him. In 1868 Emma Wells married John Smith in Portsea (certificate held). Emma's father is given as Thomas BINMORE and John as a Private inThe 35th Regiment of Foot. In 1871 Census the son Thomas George Binmore WELLS is recorded as Thomas SMITH age 9 born Portsea. Thereafter it is more difficult to follow His movements. red mail Annie JOHNSON nee CRABB
I'm looking for information about the parants and other family members of Annie Harriett Whitford JOHNSON nee CRABB. She married Frederick JOHNSON (Labourer in R.N. Dockyard and Private in Army Reserve) in Stoke Damerel, Devon on 09 Apr 1887 and when their son Rodney Edgar JOHNSON was born on 22 Jun 1893, they were living at 50 Queen Street, Devonport. "Annie Harriett Whitford JOHNSON nee CRABB" is the name shown on Rodneys birth cert, but I can't find "Whitford" on any other document and I have no idea where it came from.

LOOKING FOR THE EASTERBROOKS
Can amyone help me find out more about my great great grandmothers family please? Her name was Mary Ann Easterbrook and she was born, I believe, in Devonport, although by 1841 both Mary Ann and her sister Emma were living in Portsea Hampshire. When she married in 1844 to Richard Denbow in Hampshire, she gave her fathers name as John Easterbrook and his profession as builder. I have found an Easterbrook family in Rowe Street Plymouth in 1851, but this is Wm Easterbrook, not John, he is listed as a bricklayer. aged 57, born Exbourn, and his wife is Ann,58, born Plymouth, a daughter Charlotte 21 and son John 15, an Errand Boy. Both chilldren born Devonport. This could be her family but I am not sure. Are there any Easterbrooks who might know more about this family please?
