red mail Robert Stevens -The Hog
Am looking for any information for a Robert Stevens - nicknamed 'The Hog'. He must have been born around 1740 and possibly in Fenny Stratford. His name appears in 'The Bletchley Diaries of the Rev. William Cole; 1765-7'.
red mail HODGSON/HOLMES, Fenny Stratford
Help I'm stuck! I have a JANE HARRIET HODGSON (born approx 1852 in Fenny Stratford) who married ALFRED HOLMES on 28 January 1869 in Simpson, but all I know about her is that her father was JOHN CHARLES HODGSON, her mother (possibly) MARY ANN, and that she died after 1877 (possibly in the Rochdale area of Lancashire). I can't find any further information on her or her family and have been trying for years!!!
red mail Bates
Philip and Arabella Bates who lived on a farm at Fenny Stratford were my great-grandparents. They brought up my grandfather John Philip who was already living with them at the age of 4 along with Arabella's sister's illegitimate son, Merrick Mead. I m keen to have more information about any family member. I am especially keen to know who my great-grandfather, William, married. I know she was called Sarah (possibly Hyde or Hann), that she was born in Wantage and was married in East Hendred. Thanks, Christine.
