BONHAM Preston Bissett
Edward BONHAM b: 1672 in Water Stratford (an hours walk north of Preston Bissett) m: Elizabeth KING 1699 probably in Preston Bissett because that's where their 8 children were baptised and where Edward died in 1728. The family seemed to live within 5 miles of Buckingham for quite a few generations, until his great grandson (and my great great great grandfather) William emigrated with his entire extended family to South Australia in 1847. I'm seeking any additional information about the family and their life and times.
The Salmon family Padbury
Or should I say, Spatcher family. Mark Salmon marries Elizabeth Humphrey in 1850 and then Elizabeth leaves the family home to work in Buckingham and Mark seemingly sires nine children by the next door neighbour Maria. Is anyone else a descendant or has photos/stories?
red mail Douglas Family Potterspury
Hi, I'm looking into my family tree and have come across that my great grandfather (Frederick Douglas) was adopted in 1905. He had 3 brothers, walter, william and alfred that come to canada with him in 1905. They were placed in fegans home shortly after the passing of their mom. He also had another brother Charles and Joseph and a older sister Emma. From what I know I believe they lived in Potterspury or very close to this area. I know the mom (Mary) died in 1904 and she was the widow of Joseph Douglas. I know he died before she did but have no other information about him. If anyone has any other information about this family I would appreciate anything!
red mail Woodward Winslow
Does anyone have any info on the family of Thomas Woodward 1827-1863 & wife Mary Goodger 1828-1883? They had five children James 1847, John 1853 Sarah 1852, Emma 1859 & Elizabeth Ann 1855-1879. Elizabeth Ann married William Albert Bailey in Battersea & had a daughter Edith Elizabeth 1878. On the 1881 census Elizabeth is living with her grandmother after the death of her mother.
