red mail William Noble, Fraserburgh,
I am trying to contact relatives of William Noble, born c. 1889 at Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, the son of shipmaster Alexander Sim Noble and wife Helen Noble. In December 1919, William, a cooper, married Williamina Hutchinson Noble (b. 1896), also from Fraserburgh. He later resided at 12 Berryden Road, Aberdeen and died 31 Jan 1951. He had a son, William A.P. Noble, who in 1951 lived at 57 Menzies Road, Aberdeen. Would appreciate any help.
red mail Ross, Laurence - circa 1830
William Ross and Janet Laurence (or Lawrence) had a daughter Elizabeth about 1830. William was a witness at Elizabeth's marriage to Robert Lanyon Clements in Victoria Australia in 1859 and Janet is cited as deceased on the certificate. Elizabeth's death certificate in 1902 states that she was born in Frazerburgh, Aberdeenshire about 1830. I can find no information in Scots records about either Janet or William. No census info, no births deaths or marriages. I wonder if there are any sources more local to the area or whether anyone has any information at all about these three. I am even pressed, for want of dates, to find info on their emigration to Australia. I certainly will appreciate a hand if anyone knows anything.
