My great grandmother was Marion McCall who was born in Bowmore,Scotland abt. 1864. She moved to America at the turn of the 20th century. Her father's name was John and her mother's name was Betsey McCarty. As I am American I know naught about this area and how to research there. Dougal Campbell married Isabelle Campbell at Killarrow Parish Church on the Isle of Islay on 13 December 1792. There daughter Margaret was baptised here on 30 May 1798. The village of Killarrow (near Islay House, Bridgend) became part of Bowmore in 1768, as part of the resettlement scheme, when it was founded by Dougal(d) Campbell married Isabelle Campbell at Killarrow Parish Church on the Isle of Islay on 13 December 1792. Their daughter Margaret was baptised here on 30 May 1798. Son Neil was born in 1804 in Edinburgh and possibly another son Alexander born 1820 in Edinburgh. Looking for family connections for Margaret and Alexander. Neil went to Dorking, Surrey.

In may of the year 1976 a bottle was found on the beach at kilinallan- on the isle of Islay. A note in the bottle -stated 'on passage Scotland to Canada' S V Droxford Risdon-Beazley-marine- Southampton-- W R INNES. Does anyone know of this person. Any help appreciated. Thank you Gerald
