red mail Hannah Matthews
I am trying to find out about the birth of Hannah Matthews about 1827 (give or take a few years). The earliest record I have is her marriage on 29 March 1852 to Thomas Siviter in Halesowen. The earliest Census I can find her is 1861 which, with subsequent Censuses, shows her as born in Kington, Herefordshire. I believe her father may have been Joseph Matthews.
red mail Looking for a Thomas & Sarah Watkins
I am looking for the ancestors of Thomas & Sarah (nee Evans)who were married in Kington in 1831. They were probably both shoemakers as they jointly set-up a shoemaking business in Liverpool in 1833. Sarah was born 1810 in Old Radnor her father was Evan Griffith. The only lead on Thomas is the witnesses at their marriage, a Mr & Mrs Penny from Almeley.

Trying to trace my mothers family tree. We know that her mother ELLEN JANE (born c1902) married JOHN EVANS (who was born on 25th Jan 1908 in Coxhoe, County Durham) had daughter Audrey (12/1943 born Coxhoe,Country Durham) and Son John (aka Jackie/Jack born Coxhoe, County Durham); ELLEN JANE EVANS also had 2 other daughters JENNY and PHYLLIS (who were older than their half-siblings and may have lived with them in Kington), lived at Foundry Bungalow, Kington approximately 1945 - 1950. JOHN EVANS worked as a Gardener/Groundskeeper and we believe they family moved to Kington for his work - trying to find anyone who might have known them or where JOHN EVANS may have been working or working for.
